| Summary | 0000246: Bug: Planet Load and Starmap Functionality Break (Linked) | ||||
| Description | This bug happens when doing long haul hops it seems in one general direction. Eventually (Sometimes 4, up to 6 hops) you'll warp in and the planet won't load. To add to this, the Starmap functions stop displaying a list properly after attempting to update your posistion by cycling the distance buttons. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | 1: Choose a general direction and hop long range (40-50Ly) aiming to skirt the bottom of the starmap. 2: Maintain the above 4-6 times, ensuring to continue in the general direction, may require some fiddling around with the Starmap controls. 3: Once you get to a point that planets don't load upon disengaging warp (Not manually), attempt to reset your starmap to scan for the new listings. Reproduction Amount- Happened 3 times in a row for me, each one a new game. Normally I'd make this two different reports but based on my observations the two seem to be linked somehow. Possible Workarounds: None at this time, attempting to mess around with the ship bridge systems to find one. | ||||

Addon: While the functionality of the Starmap Controls do bork out, I decided to cycle them and just wait. It appear that when this issue happens, it is actually loading the list but not showing. It eventually popped and showed the list. Planets will still fail to load in however. |

This is part of the known buffering computer issue. User says it does sort its self eventually |
