Summary | 0001529: A deck distributor pannel indicates electrical connection that does not exist
Description | The way the input feeds (vertical distributors) are connected on the pannel implies a direct electrical connection, which should work both ways. In the current game mechanics, it is only a one way connection, where the vertical distributor feeds into the internal bus but no current can flow between the different inputs.
Steps To Reproduce | Enable power to multiple vertical distributors at the respective battery aggregators. Go to A deck distributor pannel and observe that they all have voltage and identical power draw. Go down again and disconnect one vertical distributor from the batteries by opening both aggregator output breakers. Lights will go out in quadrants connected only to it, indicating it is depowered. Go to A deck distributor pannel and observe that the vertical distributor that was disconnected from batteries has zero voltage and zero power draw. Following the circuit diagram, I would expect power to flow from the vertical busses still connected to their assigned batteries into the one not connected to its batteries.

If I am reading this currently this is as expected. The ships power is separated in to 4 different sections. If you disconnect the battery bank of one section those lights will go out and not get power from elsewhere. Assigning to dan to make sure my logic is correct |

As discussed on Discord, the simulated volt meter is testing the upstream cable, which correctly has 0 voltage flowing over it. |
